Signs

The creativity expressed in the signs was extremely powerful. In a sea of signs that simply stated Black Lives Matter or BLM there were signs that were extremely thought-provoking. I was often drawn to the signs that questioned inequalities in American society. Standing in the midst of artfully crafted signs or those that were put together with cardboard and a Sharpie that demanded justice was awe-inspiring. Because everyone was wearing masks and could not be as vocal, the signs took on a far more important role in expressing the personal thoughts of the protesters. Signs were not restricted to handheld items. Signs were on dogs, strollers, faces, bikes, cars, and buildings.
