This unique database contains musicological and program information relating to the performers and composers whose works are featured within the sound recordings collections of the International Guitar Research Archive (IGRA). The notes are full-text searchable and contain accessible mark-up to capture the strucure of the text for use with assistive technologies.
These notes are written by musicians, composers and musicologists that together provide a familiar medium for the way musicians have learned music history as associated with sound recordings. It is recommended that users perform keyword searches to locate all liner notes that mention a specific performer, composer, arranger, etc. This database is periodically updated with new additions.
