Warner Masters

Director of Campus Planning, Financial VP, 1955-1980

Warner Masters, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, was born in 1920. While serving as Business Manager at California State University, Los Angeles, he advocated for the creation of a new state university in the San Fernando Valley, and then served as Director of Campus Planning and Financial Vice President. He was responsible for approving the plans for most of the buildings on campus until his retirement, and was instrumental in the purchase of Devonshire Downs. He passed away in 2008.
