Identifier Identifier An unambiguous reference to the resource within a given context. Recommended best practice is to identify the resource by means of a string or number conforming to a formal identification system. Example formal identification systems include the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) (including the Uniform Resource Locator (URL)), the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and the International Standard Book Number (ISBN). Identifiers for the scores are assigned on the Easley excel sheet. The identifier will consist of the reel number and the assigned score number. For compound objects for which there are records for the individual pages or sheets, and additional page number will be added. Do not bracket if the page numbering is added by the metadata creator, that is, the score pages or sheets are unnumbered.
