The entire planet was forced to confront a worldwide pandemic unlike any that had been experienced in the previous 100 years. Hopefully, the visitors to this exhibition will leave with a better understanding of why people would risk their lives during a deadly viral pandemic to confront an unjust social pandemic.

The historic San Gabriel Mission Playhouse was constructed in 1927 for The Mission Play, by John Steven McGroarty, which told the story of the California Missions. In 1945, the City of San Gabriel purchased the playhouse and became a center of arts and culture in the ‘The Mission District’.
