| Title | Bulletin: Friends of Progress, v. 8 no. 13 |
| Description | This issue of the Friends of Progress Bulletin, dated March 30, 1942, calls upon "all true and loyal Americans who believe in the Bill of Rights" to gather on the evening of April 1 at the Embassy Auditorium in Los Angeles to participate in the "13th session of the peoples congress". The Bulletin then launches into a diatribe of sorts against General Douglas MacArthur: "Great big clamor about this General MacArthur fellow -- seems he is just about to save the world -- everything now depends upon him... But this MacArthur business is bunk! BUNK of the purest sort." The Friends of Progress was an organization that espoused U.S. neutrality at the start of World War II. 14 x 8.5 in. |
