DescriptionThis pamphlet announces "three major events in the anti-Nazi world," all taking place in the Los Angeles area in 1937. January 6: An inter-racial mass-meeting against Nazism, at the Philharmonic Auditorium at Fifth and Hill; W.E.B. Du Bois was the speaker, and Oscar Hammerstein was the meeting's chairman. January 10: A banquet was held in honor of German playwright Ernst Toller at the Vendome, 6666 Sunset Blvd.; Fritz Lang was the meeting's chairman. (Toller would commit suicide by hanging just 2 years later.) January 12: a "giant" mass meeting was held at the Shrine Auditorium, entitled "We Warn America!" Ernst Toller was among the speakers. 8.5 x 11 in.
