"Outcry" was an unofficial student newsletter published briefly by the politically active students of San Fernando Valley State College (SFVSC, now CSUN) in the late 1960s. The banner title reads "Outcry" with a peace-sign inside the letter O. Under the banner are the words: "DEL OVIATT & L.A.P.D. METRO...... v.s. THE CONSTITUTION OF THE U.S..... This January 1969 cover depicts scenes of an on-campus rally that was also attended by the Los Angeles Police Department. The text blocks along the right-hand side of the page are reproductions of articles I, IV, IX, and XIV of the U.S. Constitution guaranteeing the rights of freedom of speech, protection against unreasonable search and seizure, and due process.
