Description	Photograph of the first interpreter for the deaf studies program at San Fernando Valley State College (now CSUN), Beth Gesner (pictured right) as she interprets for National Center on Deafness (NCOD) Director Dr. Ray L. Jones. The NCOD was established in 1964 and its mission statement says that it: "provides communication access, leadership opportunities, scholarships, academic advisement, tutoring, and direct communication classes for approximately 200 students who are deaf and hard of hearing each year." Black and white photograph, 4 x 6 in.
