This page from the 1963 yearbook was dedicated to Dr. Leo Wolfson, a well-regarded administrator who passed away earlier that academic year. Dr. Wolfson came to San Fernando Valley State College (now CSUN) in 1958 as its Executive Dean. In October, 1962, he died suddenly following a heart attack. At the time of his death, he was serving as the college's Vice President. The last line of the tribute reads: "The college has lost an exceptionally able administrator, the faculty a colleague, and the students a devoted friend." Dr. Wolfson has been remembered every year since his death as the namesake of the Wolfson Scholar Award, presented as the highest honor awarded to a California State University, Northridge graduating senior. School yearbook, 11 x 8.5 in.
