John Houseman, Academy Award winning actor, was a Student Production And Campus Entertainment (SPACE, at California State University, Northridge) guest speaker at the University Student Union in 1983. Houseman's career was a long and successful one. In 1937, he co-founded the Mercury Theatre with Orson Welles. During World War II, he worked for "Voice of America" heading its New York office. In the second half of his career, he was active as a producer and acting teacher, and won an Oscar for his work as a supporting actor in the 1973 film The Paper Chase. Color photograph, 4 x 6 in.
