Description	Angela Davis is a feminist, political activist, and member of the American Communist Party. She is known for her work within the Civil Rights Movement, with the Black Panther Party, and with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). She continues to work for racial and gender equality. She is currently the Presidential Chair and Professor with the History of Consciousness Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
