On the first anniversary of the November 4, 1968 student takeover of the Administration building at San Fernando Valley State College (now CSUN), the campus newspaper, the Daily Sundial, describes "Where we have gone since Nov. 4, 1968." The images on the front page include some of the issues of the Sundial which dealt with the campus violence of the previous year. The accompanying article recounts the events of Nov. 4, 1968, and the repercussions which followed. A secondary article on the front page bears the headline: "Afro Center closes after rifles found" illustrating that the unrest on the campus was far from solved, one year later.
