Description	This Stone Axe blade was unearthed in 1982, near Wushan, Sichuan Province, China, 1.13 km west of the Daxi Culture Neolithic Settlement Excavation Site. (c.5,000-3,200 B.C.) The Paleolithic site was the home to an ancient culture believed to have lived in highly organized functional units which performed farming and fishing throughout the Region. The Axe Blade is formed from a dense conglomerate stone of grayish iron-blue coloration. The surface is worn and nicely weathered, giving the Axe blade an overall appearance of softness and strength.
