Description	Cows lined up in a milking barn at Adohr Farms in Reseda, circa 1935-1937. Accompanying caption reads: "Before any cow joins the milking herd, she must undergo a rigid physical examination. Her hair is clipped short and each time she is milked she is given a bath. The barns, too, are washed four times daily and the man who milks her must wear a clean uniform and wash and sterilize his hands before he milks her." Black and white photograph.
