Description	This is an invitation to a F.O.R. Acuña benefit that was held at the home of Moctesuma and Esperanza Esparaza. The money raised at the benefit was used to help with costs from Acuña's legal case against the University of California, Santa Barbara. Rodolfo Acuña, founding member of the Chicana/o Studies Department at CSUN and often called the "father of Chicano Studies" is an activist, teacher, author, and historian. In 1990 Acuña was invited to apply for a professorship in the Chicano Studies Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Although the department submitted Acuña's name as the sole candidate for the position, he was not offered the position. In 1992 Acuña filed suit against UCSB for racial, political, and age discrimination. A federal judge rejected the claims of ethnic and political bias, but heard the case on the grounds of age discrimination. On October 30, 1995 Acuña won the verdict in Los Angeles.
