Description	Featured in the photograph from left to right are: Yvette Cabrera, a reporter for the Daily News; Mary Helen Ponce, Comisión member and Chicano Studies professor at California State University Northridge; and Nita Moore, a producer and writer for KESQ-TV3 (ABC affiliate). Ponce is holding up a copy of her book Hoyt Street: an Autobiography. Moore is holding up a copy of the magazine Saludos Hispanos that she helps to edit and translate. The annual Adelante Mujer Latina Conferences are attended by 300 to 400 San Fernando Valley Latina high school students. Workshops are conducted by professional Latina women in specialized fields to encourage the young students to pursue careers in areas such as business, law, and medicine. 4 in. x 6 in.
