Receipt from Mose the Furniture Man of the Douglas Furniture Store advertising payment plans. Many businesses offered payment or installment plans to allow their customers to purchase expensive items without having to provide the entire amount at once. The Rodriguez family participated in this system, buying furniture, clothing and other items by making small payments over time. Originally from Mexico, the Rodriguez family moved to Los Angeles, California around 1922 after many years in Arizona. See also side 2 (fbrms06b.jpg). 3.5 in. x 5 in.
