The Noche Artistica (artistic night) advertsied in this annoucement took place at the Chaffey Auditorium on January 25, 1946 in the city of Chaffey, located in Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, California. It was sponsored by the Chaffey District Council of the Mexican-American Movement. The Supreme Council of the Mexican-American Movement was created in 1945 to "improve the social, educational, economic and spiritual conditions among Mexican-Americans and Mexican people living in the United States of America" (Articles of Incorporation, 1945).
