After Frank del Olmo's unexpected death in 2004, his wife, journalist Magdalena Beltrán-del Olmo, and journalist Frank Sotomayor edited a collection of his columns called "Frank del Olmo: Commentaries in His Times." Profits from the book sales will be donated by the Los Angeles Times to the Frank del Olmo Memorial Scholarship Fund established by the California Chicano News Media Association and The Times. This bookmark was given out along with copies of the book at a tribute for del Olmo. Frank del Olmo was born in Los Angeles, California on May 18, 1948. After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), del Olmo entered California State University, Northridge (CSUN) to study journalism. He joined the staff of the Los Angeles Times in 1971, and served as its associate editor until his death in 2004. 6.5 in. x 2.2 in.
