Calabasas Historical Society

Calabasas montage The Calabasas Historical Society was founded in 1979 to promote and preserve the historical interests of Calabasas and the surrounding environs. The Society periodically sponsors public tours and educational lectures in various locations, and grants annual scholarships to students studying history and agriculture at Los Angeles Pierce College in Woodland Hills. Additionally, the Society is committed to honoring citizens who have contributed to the history of Calabasas by its presentation of the Living History Award. The Society holds board meetings at the Masson Homestead House, located at Headwaters Corner at Calabasas by Mountains Restoration Trust, publishes a monthly newsletter (on hiatus during July and August) and provides monthly tours to sites of historical interest.
